THE CAPTAIN: |
Captain Clark Miles is a full-time, USCG licensed guide who fishes
year 'round. He takes his business seriously, and has devoted much time and effort
to learning the habits of the various species of fish common to his area, such as
redfish, speckled trout, flounder, black drum, black-tip shark and tarpon. He knows
how they react to different baits, water temperature, and changes in tides. He has
what it takes to put you where the big fish will be biting. Captain Miles is a member of the Port Aransas Chamber of Commerce, Port Aransas Boatmen, Inc., CCA Texas, and National Association of Charterboat Operators. As a member of Port Aransas Boatmen, Inc., he served as vice president from 1994-1997, and as Chairman of the Deep Sea Roundup (the oldest fishing tournament on the Gulf Coast). In 1996, he was honored by the association as Port Aransas Boatman of the Year. |
THE BOAT: |
Crystal Blue Charters runs a 21' Majek, Redfish line, tunnel-hull
powered by a 150-HP Yamaha O.B. Motor. Captain Miles has chosen this boat for its
superior performance in the areas where he commonly fishes. For communications, the boat is equipped with a VHF Marine Radio as well as a cellular phone. |
THE TRIP:

Crystal Blue Charters furnishes all bait, rods, reels, tackle and
ice. All you need to bring is what you want to eat or drink, sunscreen, a cap, and a
fishing license with a saltwater stamp. And, don't forget your camera. We can accommodate groups of any size, and we welcome company sponsored tournaments any time of the year. If you would like to set up a tournament, all you need to bring is your employees. We can supply lunches, refreshments, tents, weigh-in scale and weighmaster. Captain Miles fishes Corpus Christi Bay, Redfish Bay, Aransas Bay, Estes Flats, California Hole, Port Aransas Jetties, and the summer surf. Whether you consider yourself to be an expert or a novice, Crystal Blue Charters promises the ultimate fishing experience on the Texas Gulf Coast. Kids are always welcome.
